It’s clear after watching the film that the movie was merely an idea to explain the story told while riding on the attraction. I would give this film a six out of ten rating, due to the interesting costumes and making the ghost over the top and silly making a vast comparison to those of the living. The film lacked a decent plot making the story seem more like an afterthought then the main point of the film.
The Haunted Mansion, was a success in gaining more attention for the attraction making those that visit the park seek the ride out hoping to compare it to the film. On Halloween, the ride is transform taking on the tale of The Nightmare Before Christmas for the holidays. The film is a humorous tale of what occurs when the spirits of the past decide to hitch a ride with the living.
