The Addam’s Family was a classic gothic family that was aloof and scary to the residents of the town they resided in. They were known for caring about their family and ensuring that their children knew about their ancient heritage. Despite them being naïve to the society around them they ensured that they always looked out for their own.
It’s common knowledge that the Addams family is wealthy so there’s no surprise that their accountant will try to take advantage of their kind nature. Due to owing a loan shark Abigail Craven conducts a plot to gain her clients riches. Using her own son, she hopes to trick the Addams patriarch that his long lost brother has finally returned home.

I have always been a fan of this dark comedy enjoying the adventures that the family went on. They always put a unique spin on matters we all face in life and situations we face with our own family. it’s clear after watching the film why so many people fell in love with the Addams.
I would rate this film a seven out of ten due to the content showed throughout the film and the developed characters. The writer was able to reach the gap between television and film. However, there are parts of the film that feel like a filler compared to other parts of the movie.
The writers add comedy to the gothic culture showing a lighter side to the morbid genre. Many can find their selves relating to the Addams and other members of their family. Thus, showing that even those with unique personality and talents face every day problems making them appear not as scary as they first appear.
