Basilisk: Real or Legend?

Many can recall the iconic moment in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, when the school is under attack by a fifty-foot snake called a basilisk. This king of snakes is a mythical creature created with the myths and legends found in Roman and Greek mythology. They are evil creatures whose intentions are to harm the world around them and kill mankind. The movie Aladdin is based on the Middle East fable Aladdin and the Magical Lamp. The tale is found with a collection of stories titled The Arabian Nights or The Book of One-Thousand and One Nights in its original language. The story was written by Antoine Galland.

Recently, indie video game companies have created stunning animation and game design making them a competition against other gaming companies. Some are based on fears we have as children, while others take a page out of the history books. There are some who theorize the game, Bendy and the Ink Machine, is based on the feud Walt Disney had with Iwerks, a fellow animator while others see it as a tribute to how dark cartoons can become.
