Mermaids in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Luna was the first to introduce me to the realm of Harry Potter. I was sold on the idea of possessing magic and even more excited of the existence of a school for wizards. During middle school I was beginning to lose my sight and had lost interest in reading, so having a book Luna and I enjoyed helped me find a new love for reading. Despite the series being set in a fantasy realm the scenery come from inspirations from London, England.

Pokémon Fan

Every kid that grew up in the 1990s holds some nostalgia for the things they loved during that time. For me it was Saturday morning cartoons. I had just gotten into anime after watching sailor Moon and was intrigued by the idea behind Pokémon. Pokémon featured portal pocket monsters that a trainer could hunt and collect to battle against Pokémon. The series is still running strong with new characters, songs, and challenges for the characters to endure.

Krampus Comes to Town – A Poem

Despite the festive holidays being behind us, I thought it would be nice to feature the poem Krampus Comes to Town by Robert Payne Cabeen, he has an interesting perspective of comparing and contrasting the idea of the jolly Saint Nick versus his sister counterpart, Krampus.

A Merman’s Choice by Alice Renaud

It can sometimes be difficult to find books that you are interested in without them being featured on a bestsellers list. One successful method is by finding new novels and authors by word of mouth or through networking. I was fortunate enough to come across Alice Rebaud novel A Merman’s Choice for others unfamiliar with her work to check them out.

The Stars of the Ocean

While watching Finding Nemo, I was intrigued by the introverted but bubbly star fish, named Peach. Unlike the other marine creature’s inhabitation in the fish tank with Peach, she was the only creature that seemed content with their environment. I first saw Finding Nemo, with Luna, she knew how much I loved creatures that live under the sea.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wilds – Game Review

The Legend of Zelda published by Nintendo and created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka in 1986. The series follows the hero Link, and his quest to rescue Princess Zelda from Ganon or also known as Ganondorf. Link must travel through the kingdom of Hyrule to collect the pieces of the triforce to summon the wisdom, courage, and power to defeat Ganon. Below is my intimal reaction to seeing the 2016 E3 trailer of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wilds.
