I decided to cover a popular anime, My Hero Academia, which is a shonen anime. Shonen anime refers to young boys under the age of fifteen. Thus, shonen anime and manga are aimed at that demographic. A lot of these anime and manga have a young male hero and are focused on action, adventure, and fighting. My Hero Academia follows this archetype by exploring Izuku “Deku” Midoriya quest to become a hero.
I’ve always been a fan of M. Night Shyamalan, from his blockbuster hits to his other, highly criticized works, I’ve always supported him. I can safely say that he’s one of my favorite writer and director, so I was excited with his new release Glass. After seeing the film with my husband, I wanted to share my thoughts of the film.
Spider-Man is a huge iconic character within the Marvel Universe appearing in numerous Marvel comics and was added to the Marvel’s cinematic universe (MCU) by being introduced in Marvel’s Avengers: Civil War in 2016. Many Spider-Man fans have accepted the third attempt of bringing the character to the big screen after Sam Raimi and Marc Webb adaption of the character.
It’s no surprise that cinemas feature superhero films each year with its growing popularity. DC comics has always kept up with Marvel comics, one of its biggest competitors by producing numerous movies and television shows featuring the characters from their comic books. Currently, Aquaman is in theaters and I have decided to give it a review.
